Chattisgarh as an attraction can be best described as an undiscovered paradise with its many waterfalls, caves and rivers. Rejuvenate your spirits with a tribal tour that will give you a better insight into the lifestyle and culture of the local tribes residing in the area.
Day 1: Delhi
You will be transferred from the International airport to your hotel. You will have an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi - Raipur
In the morning, you will be transferred to the Domestic Airport for your flight to Raipur. Our representative will meet you at the Raipur airport. From here, you will drive 120 Kms. to the former Princely State of Kawardha.
In the afternoon, you will take a tour of the Palace and other cultural sites, which include the captivating Bhoramdeo Temple complex.
You will return to the Palace for the sunset. A meeting with the royal family will follow. Here, you will be treated to the Traditional Chhattisgarhi dance and dinner.
There will be an overnight stay at the Kawardha Palace.
Day 3: Raipur - Kawardha
After breakfast, a trained palace guide will accompany you on a tour of Kawardha's little-known natural and tribal world. In the afternoon, you will meet the gentle and friendly people of the Baiga tribe and enjoy a picnic lunch with them.
In the evening, you will return to the Palace. After a wash and change, proceed for the dinner with the royal family.
There will be an overnight stay at the Kawardha Palace.
Day 4: Kawardha
After an early lunch, you will drive to Raipur. Upon your arrival at Raipur, you will have a short visit to Raipur's Mahant Ghasidas Museum, following which you will leave for the erstwhile princely State of Kanker.
Upon arrival at the Kanker Palace, the Maharaja's family will greet you. Over drinks and dinner, you will be able to enjoy the company of the royal family, along with a performance of the traditional music and dance of the region.
There will be an overnight stay at the Kanker Palace.
Day 5: Kawardha
After your choice of Indian or English breakfast at the Palace, you will begin with your Bastar tribal experience.
To the south of Kanker, you and your royal guide will climb the forested Keshkal Ghat. Here, you will visit a colorful weekly market. This will provide you with a great opportunity to interact with the local people.
You will then explore Kondagaon and Narayanpur to discover some of Bastar's finest handicrafts and the people who make them. Lunch will be a held as a picnic in the deep green sal forests
This will be followed by an early evening dance by members of Bastar's 'Gond tribe'.You will return to the Kanker Palace for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Kawardha - Raipur
After breakfast, you will proceed to Jagdalpur, Bastar's main town and former capital.
After freshening up at Bastar Royal farm, you will join the members of the royal family for lunch. In the afternoon, a royal guide will give you a tour of Jagdalpur. This will include a visit to the Anthropological Museum and a the Chitrakoot waterfall at sunset. You will also visit some members of the local Bison –Horn-Maria tribe, renowned for their spectacular ceremonial dancing.
Conditions permitting, a barbecue will be served under the stars in the authentic Bastar style. You will also be entertained by a performance by the local tribal people.
There will be an overnight stay at the Bastar Royal farm.
Day 7: Raipur - Kanker
After an early breakfast, you will visit the Kanger Valley National Park, the enchanting Tirathgarh Waterfall and the extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite caves.
Lunch will be a picnic in the jungles. This visit will also give you the chance to observe forest tribal people in their natural habitat. In the evening, you will be able to witness Jagdalpur's unique handicrafts with your royal guides.
Dinner will be served at the hotel . You will also stay overnight at the Bastar Royal farm.
Day 8: Kanker
After breakfast, you will visit the bustling markets of Jagdalpur. This will be followed by your drive back to Raipur. On the highway, you will pass several handicrafts centers, which are very convinient for purchasing your last-minute souvenirs. You will also stop at Kanker for a farewell late lunch with the Maharaja's family. At Raipur, you will be able to relax at your hotel. There will be an overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 9: Kanker
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Raipur Airport for your flight to New Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Delhi.
Day 10: Kondagoan
In the morning, you will leave for your half –day city tour of Old Delhi.
This will include a visit to the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'RGH','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Raj Ghat</a> (The Mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi), the Jama Masjid (the biggest Mosque in India) and a drive past the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7J','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Red Fort</a>. This will be followed by a tricycle tour of Chandini Chowk.
In the Afternoon, you will leave for your half-day city tour of New Delhi.
This will include a drive past the President's House, the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'PTH','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Parliament House</a>, and the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7M','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">India Gate</a>. You will also visit the Qutab Minar, the Baha'i Temple (lotus temple), the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7L','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Humayun's Tomb</a> and The Laxmi Narayan Temple.
In the evening, you will be transferred to the international airport for your flight back home or to an onward destination.
