Exploring the heart of Kerala with this amazing trip that takes you through the pristine jungles of Thekkady where you can indulge in some high adrenaline rush. This is then followed by the peaceful relaxing backwaters of Kumarakom where you drift across the serene environment in a houseboat. The trip gives you an opportunity to explore this Venice of India at your own leisurely pace with some of the most visited attractions on the itinerary.

Day 1: Kochi

Arrive at Airport/Railway Station in Cochin and you will be transferred to the hotel.Afternoon visit the Kochi Harbour. Day 2: Kochi - Munnar

Take breakfast at the Hotel and check out for an amazing journey to Munnar. En route enjoy scenic views of Cardamom hills and green carpets of tea plantations. If interested go on a self guided trekking tour. Stay overnight at the Hotel at Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar

Visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'ENP','MNN','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Eravikulam National Park</a> to see rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, Old Munnar Town, Dairy Farm and the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'MPD','MNN','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Mattupetty Dam</a>. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4: Munnar

Have breakfast and further your trip to the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar/Thekkady. After the visit check in at the Hotel/Resort. During the evening view cruise on the Periyar Lake. Sightseeing will include spotting a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 5: Munnar - Thekkady

Fifth day of the tour takes you to Kumarakom after breakfast at the Hotel. To enjoy your stay here check into a resort at the bank of the Vembanand Lake. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Stay overnight at the Hotel in Cochin.

Day 6: Thekkady

Now begins that magical journey over the backwater on Houseboat (Kettuvallam) cruise for 22 hours. While floating over water enjoy panoramic views of village life at close quarters and sunset scene. Stay overnight at the houseboat. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7: Thekkady - Kumarakom

After the breakfast in the morning visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'ARQ','TRV','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Kovalam Beach</a>.Spend the moments of leisure at the beach site, especially during sunset. Laze on the golden sands and walk on it, to marvel at lush greenery all around. Relish at variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian cuisines that will delight the foodies. The restaurants alongside the beach serves some lip-smacking Kerala sea food and continental cuisines including German and Swiss specialties. Apart from that check out the shops that line up along the beach and look for jewelery, handicrafts and cloth shops.

Kovalam is also popular for classical Kathakali dance. In the evening the quiet atmosphere of the place is enlivened by Kathakali performances, the classical dance-drama of Kerala.

It is a dream destination to indulge yourself in various thrilling adventure sports within the territory of this exotic beach in your Kovalam tour. Visitors can experience the tremendous joy of surfing, swimming, skiing and kayaking in the vast azure water of Arabian sea which touches the golden sands of Kovalam. Day 8: Kumarakom

Eighth day of the tour to Discover India takes you to sight seeing of Thiruvananthapuram covering Museum complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club, Shangmugham Beach after breakfast. Return to Kovalam to stay overnight. With this tour to the wonderful cities of Kerala, you would be able to explore Kerala to fullest.

Day 9: Kumarakom - Alappuzha
