Reh and Boori Boot Festivals of North East
Kolkata-Dibrugarh-Roing-Pasighat-Along-Daporijo-Ziro-Itanagar-Tezpur-Guwahati
Day 1: Kolkata
Arrive and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Kolkata
Kolkata, capital of West Bengal is the nerve centre of intellectual and human values where many modern movements began in literature, art, cinema, theatre, science, politics and industry. Full day city tour visiting Howrah Bridge - landmark that denotes the city of joy. This hanging bridge is an architectural marvel of the country. The recently built Vidyasagar Setu, another architectural marvel, connects both the banks of the Hooghly River, onto <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'VTM','CCU','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Victoria Memorial</a> built of White Marble. It was opened by Prince of Wales in 1924 and has a statue of Queen Victoria, with other innumerous exhibits. Visit the Indian Museum and drive past <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'DSQ','CCU','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Dalhousie Square</a>, <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'STP','CCU','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">St. Paul's Cathedral</a>, National Library, Shaheed Minar, Eden Garden, Fort William and drive past city centre. Optional visit to Mother Teresa's Home of Charity. Overnight at hotel.
Transfer to airport to leave by air for Dibrugarh. Arrive and drive to Roing (150 Km). Early lunch at Tinsukia. Check in at Circuit House Eje Breeze Tower Lake Resort. Overnight at Roing.
After breakfast drive to Rehko, the main venue to attend the Inaugural Ceremony of REH FESTIVAL. Reh is a unique festival celebrated by the Idu Mishis of Arunachal Pradesh. In the evening, visit some of the villages and join in the traditional dances.Dinner and overnight at Roing.
Day 5: Roing
After breakfast drive to nearby villages and participate in the celebration of the festival. Post lunch, visit local market or at leisure. Evening campfire followed by dinner. Overnight at Roing.
Day 6: Roing
Morning drive to Pasighat (150 km 8hrs). Enroute visit tribal villages. Overnight at Circuit House or Hotel Siang, Pasighat.
Day 7: Roing
Morning drive to Along (100 km, 6hrs drive). Post lunch visit the Adi (Galong) Tribal villages. Overnight at Circuit House or Hotel Anchal Bhawan, Along.
Morning drive to Daporijo (160 km, 8hrs drive). Post lunch visit the Tagin Tribal village.Overnight at Circuit House or Hotel Kanchenjunga, Daporijo or Dumporijo.
Day 9: Pasighat
Full day at Boori Boot festival of Hillmiri tribe.Overnight at Circuit House or Hotel Kanchenjunga, Daporijo or Dumporijo.
Morning drive to Ziro (180 km 8hrs). Enroute visit tribal villages.Overnight at Hotel Blue Pine, Ziro.
Day 11: Along
Ziro the headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh is surrounded by Apatani villages, Dibbo- Hija- Bulla-Hari and Hong village. Enroute visit Nishi tribal villages at Yazali. Overnight at Hotel Blue Pine, Ziro.
Visit Itanagar (216km 8hrs) the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. Also visit Jawaharlal Nehru Museum.Overnight at Donyi Polo Ashok, Itanagar.
Day 13: Daporijo
After breakfast drive to Tezpur (216 km 8hrs). Check-in at Hotel Luit, Tezpur.
Day 14: Daporijo
Morning drive to Guwahati to connect flight to Kolkata.Arrive and transfer to international airport to fly back homeonward destination.
