Day 2: Kochi - Munnar

Day 3: Munnar

Morning after breakfast Set out on a sightseeing tour around Munnar.The area around Munnar is surrounded by vast jungles and remains wet and cold during most of the year. the Poonjar royal family (its pre-independence owners) have made claims to the contrary. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience for the tourist and traveller. Munnar is essentially a tea town. Day 4: Munnar

After breakfast in the morning drive to Alleppey. Board a motorboat across Vembanad Lake to Changancherry and then continue by car to the Lake Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Cardamom Hills. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 5: Munnar - Thekkady

Enjoy morning and afternoon wildlife viewing trips by boat. You can also opt for a trek through the wilds of Periyar.Periyar tiger Reserve, Thekkady, is an example of nature's bounty, with great scenic charm, rich bio diversity and providing veritable visitor satisfaction. Sprawled over an area of 777 Sq .km., Periyar is one of the 27 tiger reserves in India.

 
 
Zealously guarded and efficiently managed reserve is a repository of rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna and forms the major watershed of two important rivers of Kerala, the Periyar and Pamba. The name Thekkady is synonymous with wildlife and forests. It is the central point of the tourism zone of the Periyar Tiger Reserve which is one of the best managed tiger reserves in India. This is the only tiger reserve where one can watch animals at close quarters from a boat. The normal sightings are elephant, bison, sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar, birds of various kinds. If you are lucky enough, you may see tiger, leopard and bear, wild dog etc. while on trekking. If you have an element of love for wildlife and adventure, welcome to this wildlife haven. Day 6: Thekkady

Morning after breakfast drive to Madurai, an important Hindu pilgrimage center.One of South India's great temple towns, Madurai is synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi Temple. Situated on the banks of river Vaigai, Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Madurai was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 AD. It was the capital city for the great Pandya kings.The Pandyan King Kulasekarar built a great temple and created a lotus shaped city around the temple. On the day the city was to be named, as Lord shiva blessed the land and its people, divine nectar (Madhu) was showered on the city from his matted locks. This city was henceforth known as Madhurapuri. Madurai is famous for Jasmine Flowers. Afternoon visit Meenakshi Temple.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Thekkady

Morning after breakfast board a flight to Chennai (Madras) after breakfast.On arrival, our representative will escort you to a hotel.Afternoon visit Arjuna's penace.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8: Thekkady - Madurai

Day at leisure.Afternoon transfer to the airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
