The only art museum in Southwest Georgia, this museum displays 19th and 20th century American and European art, as well as traditional African art, plus features an average of 15 exhibitions annually in its six galleries which reflect various cultures, periods, and aesthetic styles and movements.
The restored 1906 Mount Zion Church is the location of the Albany Civil Rights Movement Museum. It commemorates the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Exhibits include historic photographs and videotape footage relating to the history of the movement.
Southwest Georgia''s only professional orchestra, this professional orchestra performs an outstanding season of beautiful music including a five concert series on Saturday evenings at the Albany Municipal Auditorium and three matinee concerts on Sundays at Darton College.
