Considered to be one of the dozen greatest art museums in the United States,this world-renowned museum`s collections include Hudson River School landscapes,Old Master paintings, modernist masterpieces, French and American Impressionist paintings,Meissen and Sevres porcelains, costumes and textiles,American furniture and decorative arts.
Educational and entertaining exhibits are the hallmark of this center. Included are a planetarium and a wildlife sanctuary made up of 30 animals, including a mountain lion, a chinchilla and bobcat.
Named for the wife of Charles H. Pond, a wealthy industrialist and statesman, this lovely park features vistas that look out over meadows, fields and water. A half-acre garden of rose bushes is the centerpiece of the park and is world-renowned.
