    Annapolis is a city in the United States. It is the capital of the State of Maryland, as well as the county seat of Anne Arundel County.With more surviving 18th century buildings than any other city in the United States, visiting Annapolis is like stepping back in time to the days when the city was a colonial seaport. Known as America’s Sailing Capital, the city is located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and is a paradise for water lovers, famous for its crab cakes, lighthouses, and 500 miles of gorgeous shoreline. Tour the campus of the US Naval Academy, or the Maryland State House, the oldest state capitol still in use.

Consecrated in 1860, the interior of this magnificent church displays rib-vaulting and a hand carved altar screen that is typical of the Gothic Revival style.
Each summer, a 16th-century English village springs to life on a 125-acre tract in Annapolis. The streets and woods of Revel Grove are filled with wandering musicians, entertainers and citizens of another century. The re-created town brims with fine crafts and art - original jewelry, pottery, leather-work, clothing, prints and sculptures. Food booths, five pubs, eight stages, a jousting arena and lots of games add to the merriment. The festival is held on weekends in late August through October.
Located on the Chesapeake Bay, this park offers seven hundred eighty six acres of recreational opportunities that include swimming, fishing, crabbing, windsurfing, boating, hiking and the use of the beautiful beaches.
