    Anaheim, California is located 28 miles (45 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and 90 miles (144 km) north of San Diego. The city is located in Orange County, one of the most dynamic and technologically forward areas. Anaheim is well connected to the rest of the world by Orange County’s John Wayne Airport and numerous other airports in the region.Anaheim is the second most populous city in Orange County (behind Santa Ana) and second largest in terms of land area, and it is known for its theme parks, sports teams, and convention center.Anaheim`s largest and most important industry is tourism. Its Anaheim Convention Center is home to many national conferences, and the Walt Disney Company is by far the city`s largest employer. Many hotels, especially in the city`s Resort district, serve theme park tourists and conventiongoers.Several notable corporations have offices in Anaheim. Banco Popular, a bank based in Puerto Rico, has one of their North American headquarters in Anaheim.The Disney influence is everywhere in the city that was reborn in 1955 with the opening of Disneyland. Adventure City is a small amusement park, that offers more than a dozen rides without the long lines and pricey admission fees of larger-scale productions. Opened in 1994 next to the Hobby City shopping complex, the park is convenient to many other area attractions, particularly Knott''s Berry Farm . Promising a lot of fun and thrill rides, this park is mainly for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Some of the rides here include a Ferris wheel, an antique carousel, two roller coasters, and the 911 ride, in which kids get to suit up in full fire-fighting gear.

While it doesn''t have the same allure as Disneyland, Knott''s will appeal to rollercoaster lovers, with its altogether faster and more thrilling rides. There are six themed areas with incredible rides such as Supreme Scream, a plunging tower ride, the 80 mph Xcelerator and the wooden GhostRider rollercoaster. There are many more attractions and younger kids will especially enjoy Camp Snoopy.
This is an indoor rock climbing gym. It is a great place to get a good aerobic workout without doing the same old thing. In addition, you will feel a sense of accomplishment after you scale the high walls and look down below you. It looks easy when others are doing it, but it is really quite a challenge. This beautiful park is more than a mile long and rests on 175 lush acres of land. With more than 400 picnic tables, this park is ideal for a family outing. There are four lakes with connecting streams for fishing and sailing model boats. There are plenty of pedestrian and biking trails for the more active visitors. For children, there are many sets of play equipment like slides and jungle gyms.
