    Sedona is a city and community that straddles the county line between Coconino and Yavapai counties in the northern Verde Valley region of the U.S. state of Arizona.Sedona`s main attraction is its stunning array of red sandstone formations, the Red Rocks of Sedona. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun.Sedona is one of Arizona`s most popular destinations.Just north of town is Oak Creek Canyon with its own dramatic beauty, swimming holes, natural rock slides and camping in its cool forest.The stunning natural beauty of the area combined with its relaxed atmosphere has drawn many artists to the area. This rock is easily recognized by its stately shape and unusual red color. The object of many visitors'' pointed cameras, this rock becomes more than it appears at first glance. Possessing one of four Energy Vortexes in the area, this is a highly popular attraction.
Designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright student, Marguerite Brunswig Staude, the chapel was built in 1956 and rises 200 feet from the ground between two large red rock formations.

This local museum utilizes the old farmstead of the Jordan family to educate about the heritage of greater Sedona. Various antique farming implements and vintage orchard equipment are displayed. Focus is on the pioneers and early agriculture, the many films created here and also an exhibit from the U.S. Forest Service.
